Miraculous Healing
In the late 1980's, Kristie started having some strange health problems. In the beginning, the problems occurred during the summertime. Out of nowhere, she would become paralyzed in her legs. Yes...paralyzed!!!
Either she could not walk at all, or she would have to take baby steps. This would normally last a few minutes. Around 1989, she was diagnosed with Periodic Paralysis. It was a rare condition at that time. Over the years the disease slowly worsened. By 1998, it hit her really hard. It no longer only affected her legs but her entire body. Her legs, arms, abdomen, neck...her speech would slurr and her eyes would roll back. At one point, she was in wheel chair (thankfully being in a wheel chair lasted only a short while). Kristie had seen a few different doctors about the disease. It was quite a stressful time, especially since she and her husband had young kids. However, God blessed her one afternoon in 2002. After an episode of the illness, she and her husband went to his mom's. His mom prayed for Kristie. From that moment on, Kristie has not had to deal with the disease.
She doesn't understand why at the moment God decided to heal her (she had been prayed over and for on different occasions); but, she has been so thankful for the healing He brought into her body.
Doctors are wonderful and do great works, but always remember that God is the Mighy Physician. He has healing powers than nobody on Earth can come close to.
When Kristie was 16 (1984), she had to have major surgery. The doctor removed her right tube and ovary. He then informed her that it may be difficult for her to conceive. Once Kristie and her husband since 1988, Todd, decided to plan a family, it wasn't long at all before they found out that she was indeed pregnant. This was in 1989. Within a couple weeks of the confirmation, Kristie started having pains in her pelvic area. She was informed that she was most likely pregnant in her left tube (the only one she had). This was very upsetting. Surgery was performed to remove the embryo. After she started recovering from her surgery, she was hit with the hard truth that she might not ever be able to have children. Usually, when there is a tubal/ectopic pregnancy, the tube gets closed up due to scar tissue. Kristie tried to be positive. A couple months after her surgery, the doctor performed a test that would check to see if she did indeed have scar tissue blocking her tube. Since she only had that one tube and ovary, if it had scarred, she could definitely NOT have kids. Thankfully, she had NO scar tissue build-up at ALL!! She and her husband were given the green light to try again. Amazingly, one month later, she was pregnant. Everything was great! Their first child, Chandler, was born in 1991. Then about a year after their first child was born, she was pregnant again. In 1993, they were blessed with their second child, Cody. Unfortunately, she could not have any more kids after her second child due to more reproductive problems. However, she and her husband had already been blessed with two terrific little boys!!! God is AWESOME!!!!
